Extended North East 8 Days (1N Tezpur – 1N Dirang – 2N Tawang – 1N Bomdila – 2N Kaziranga)

DAY 1: GUWAHATI TO TEZPUR

Welcome on arrival at Guwahati airport & transfer to Tezpur. Check-in at your hotel/Lodge/resort. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 2: TEZPUR - DIRANG

Early morning river rafting on Jia Bhorali river. After breakfast, check out from your hotel & move to the state border. Per issued ILP for Indian Guests are required to enter Arunachal Pradesh. Later transfer to Dirang. On the way visit Tippi orchidarium with over 7500 orchids. On arrival at Dirang, check in to your hotel. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay in Dirang.

DAY 3: DIRANG - TAWANG

After breakfast transfer to Tawang. On the way, visit the war cemetery. Continue with the drive till you reach Sela Pass at an altitude of 4114m / 13494 ft. It is famous for high altitude lakes & scenic beauty & is ideal for ice skating during winter. Check in to the hotel on arrival at Tawang. Overnight stay in Tawang.

DAY 4: TAWANG LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast visit Tawang Monstery, Namgye Lhaste, Gorsham Chorten, Gontse Garden, Singar Ani Gompa.Evening return back to the hotel. Overnight stay in Tawang.

DAY 4: TAWANG - BUMLA – TAWANG (NOT INCLUDED IN PACKAGE AS DEPENDS ON Indian Army Permit)

Post breakfast, leave for a day excursion to Bumla, near the Indo-China border. Keep your lens ready for some exciting shots and en route visit PT Tso Lake, Sangestar Lake. Return back to the hotel. Afternoon visits the local market on your own. Overnight stay at Tawang hotel.

DAY 5: TAWANG - BOMDILA

After Breakfast transfer to Bomdila. Check-in the hotel. After lunch, visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gonpa), Thumb-Chong Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gonpa). Bomdila offers a wonderfully panoramic view of Himalayan landscapes and snow-clad ranges. Evening you can visit the local market. Overnight stay in Bomdila.

DAY 6: BOMDILA TO KAZIRANGA

Post breakfast, check out & transfer to Kaziranga National Park, the home of the “One Horned Rhinoceros”. Check in at your hotel/Lodge/resort. Evening enjoys cultural program at Orchid Park. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 7: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK SAFARI

Early morning explores Western Zone of Kaziranga National Park on back of elephant. Apart from world endangered One-horned Rhinoceros, the Park sustains half the world’s population of genetically pure Wild Water Buffaloes, over 1000 Wild elephants and perhaps the densest population of Royal Bengal Tigers anywhere. Kaziranga is also a bird watchers paradise and home to some 500 species of birds. The Crested Serpent Eagle, Pallas Fishing Eagle, Grey headed Fishing Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Bar-headed goose, whistling Teal, Bengal Florican, Storks, Herons and Pelicans are some of the species found here.

We will return to the resort for breakfast. Afternoon experience jeep safari through the Central Zone of the National Park. Evening comes back to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 8: DEPARTURE FROM GUWAHATI

Post breakfast, check out from your hotel & transfer to Guwahati airport & drop. Tour Ends.
